After two decades as a fashion designer, illustrator, textile creator, and costume designer for film and television, Marni Joy gathered all her creative passions and launched Marni Joy Hamptons Interiors in 2022. Marni's diverse background informs a unique design sense. Her style reimagines a modern traditional aesthetic—simplicity layered with unique design elements, adding warmth, while ensuring each space embodies every client’s distinct personality.
Upon receiving her BFA from Boston University’s School of Visual Arts, Marni moved to Venice, Italy where she immersed herself in art history, old world printmaking, and fashion design. Before long, she had her own label and was designing for Italy’s trendiest boutiques and outfitting some of the country’s most well-known music personalities.
Returning to New York, Marni was the recipient of the prestigious GenArt Award for women’s couture and designed high-end private label women’s wear for clients all over the United States.
Next stop: Los Angeles where she brought her unique design sense to a variety of iconic brands, and helped design original creations for films like Disney’s “Enchanted” and television shows like “The Apprentice.”
After her first child was born, Marni developed and patented an innovative children’s clothing line featured on CNBC, Good Morning America, and Shark Tank.
Now living in the Hamptons with her husband and three sons, Marni turned her focus to interior design forming Marni Joy Hamptons Interiors with her business partner (and sister-in-law), Michele Seitles.
Also a graduate of Boston University, Michele Seitles majored in Business and International Relations. For more than a decade, she was head of sales for some of the most exclusive women’s clothing lines in the world. She has extensive experience in human resources, marketing, and business management for a variety of companies, public and private. Michele brings her unique blend of international style, business acumen and people skills to Marni Joy Hamptons Interiors, keeping clients on course and on budget. She lives in East Moriches, NY with her husband, two daughters and a doodle named Frankie.
